Caring for a child that has physical or developmental special needs is difficult mentally, emotionally and financially. When insurance companies won’t pay and hard-working families can’t, Variety is here to stand in the gap!

The CARE Program focuses on providing funding for specialized care, such as respite care, behavioral/mental health therapy, youth development programs, etc.

Our CARE program provides funding to nonprofit children’s organizations that directly impact the lives of children with special physical or developmental special needs and their families. Each year, qualified nonprofit children’s organizations from across the state may apply for a grant from Variety to support programs focused on caring for children. Grant applications are reviewed for financial stability and each organization is interviewed by a member of Variety’s Board of Directors to ensure a thorough understanding of the funding request and its stated objectives and intended impact on children.
