Variety welcomes new Board President!![]() Christopher Rebholz is a Wisconsin entrepreneur, as well as president and co-founder of Christopher Morgan Fulfillment Services and co-owner of BindMax Proteins LLC.
In 2000, Rebholz's twin daughters were born, weighing just four pounds each. One was suffering from a serious heart problem and given a limited chance of survival. With treatment from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin including over a dozen surgeries, both daughters not only survived but thrived. The experience had a profound impact on the personal and professional lives of Chris and his wife, Kelly. "In the midst of praying that our children stayed here with us on earth, we made a pact," he said. "That if we got through this and found success, we were going to give back, and that's what we're doing." Chris and Kelly are ardent supporters of Children's Hospital Foundation of Wisconsin, Kelly serves on its Board of Directors, the MACC Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Easter Seals, and Variety-The Children's Charity of Wisconsin, among others. They have played a role in a $160 million addition at Children's Hospital and were honored with the naming of the Rebholz Family Promenade upon its' completion in 2008. They established a scholarship fund for advanced NICU nursing professionals at Children's Hospital and awarded 3 full scholarships in 2009. "Being in business leadership roles, the end goal really is philanthropy," he said. "It is an inherent responsibility of those who are blessed with good fortune." Since 2000, Chris has been involved with Variety -- first as a golfer at the Ben Marcus Memorial Variety Golf Classic, eventually becoming a sponsor and in 2005, joining the Board of Directors. Chris chose Variety for his philanthropic efforts because of the niche that Variety serves --those children challenged by physical disability whose families cannot provide mobility equipment for and have no other resources to turn to. Not only does Variety profoundly impact individual children's lives by providing basic mobility equipment allowing them to more fully participate in life and their community, Variety also opens the world of lifelong experiences and memories to these children and their families with their numerous kids' events and experiences. And, Variety's work doesn't stop there - they also make sure that these very special children have access to the best and most cutting edge health care by funding equipment at the Variety Orthopedic Clinic and other hospital settings. Variety is pleased to welcome Chris' enthusiastic leadership and energetic spirit. |
